User Detail

User Detail

In the IAM > Users menu, click on a specific user to open the User Detail View.
This screen provides an overview of the user's profile, group memberships, access status, and system role.
Administrators with Staff privileges or higher can also manage account settings and perform user-level actions.


Tabs Provided

The User Detail screen is divided into the following two tabs:

🗂 Overview Tab

Displays core information about the selected user.

Basic Information

  • Username: Unique system identifier (cannot be changed)
  • Email: Registered email address
  • Phone: Contact number (if available)
  • Description: Personal or profile description
  • UID: Unique system-assigned user ID
  • Shell: Default shell used for server sessions
  • Home Directory: Default home path for terminal sessions
  • Role: Assigned privilege level (User / Staff / Superuser)

Activity Overview

  • Date joined
  • Last sign-in
  • Websh session usage
  • WebFTP transfer volume

Group Membership

Lists all groups the user currently belongs to.

This tab is under development.
Future updates will include user activity logs, audit history, and system interactions.


Admin-Only Functions

The following actions are available only to users with Staff or Superuser privileges:

🔧 Update User Settings

Modify a user’s profile or access configuration.

  1. Click the Update button.
  2. The Update user quick view panel will open.
  3. Update the desired fields (e.g., phone, description, role).
    • ⚠️ Use caution when assigning Staff or Superuser roles.
  4. Click the Save to apply the changes.

🔑 Reset User Password

On-Premise

Users and admin can reset the password.

  1. Click the Reset password button.
  2. The Reset password quick view will open.
  3. Enter the current password (if required).

    ⚠️ Depending on system settings, this step may be skipped or adjusted.

SaaS

⚠️ Not for Google accounts

Only the users themselves can reset the password.

  1. You can change your password from Users > Preferences > Passkey & Password
  2. If MFA is required for the workspace, you must complete MFA before changing your password.

🗑 Delete User

Remove the user account from the system.

  1. Click the Bin icon next to the user's profile.
  2. Review the confirmation modal, then click Continue.
  3. A toast message will confirm the result of the deletion request.
