Websh settings
You can configure various settings related to the Websh terminal usage environment. Websh settings has two tabs: Session and Terminal.
Session management
You can freely set how user sessions are maintained and expiration conditions.

| Websh session timeout | Unused Websh sessions are automatically terminated after the set time. Longer session retention times may cause you to reach your plan’s session limits more quickly, and the configurable range varies according to workspace policies. |
| Session share link expiration time | Sets the validity period of links generated when sharing sessions. After expiration, access via that link becomes impossible. Can be set from minimum 5 minutes to maximum 180 minutes. |
| Auto-close terminal | Sets whether to automatically close the Websh terminal in open browser tabs when the session ends. |
Your plan sets how much Websh session time is included and whether session records and sharing are available. See Plans & billing for how these behave, and the pricing page for the numbers.
Terminal settings
Customize how the terminal looks and how copy, paste, and other input behave. These are the same settings available from the gear icon inside an open terminal—see Customize the terminal.
Appearance
| Setting | Description |

| Theme | Choose a preset—Alpacon Dark, Alpacon Light, Solarized Dark, Solarized Light, Dracula, One Dark, Match app theme (follows your Alpacon light/dark theme), or Custom colors (pick your own background and text color). |
| Font family | The terminal’s monospace font. Defaults to JetBrains Mono. |
| Font size | From 10 to 24. |
| Line height | From 1.0 to 2.0. |
| Letter spacing | From 0 to 3. |
| Cursor style | Block, Bar, or Underline, with cursor blink on or off. |
Input
| Setting | Description |

| Copy and paste | Standard or PuTTY. See Copy and paste for what each does. |
| Ctrl+C copies selected text | Windows and Linux only (macOS uses ⌘C instead). When on, Ctrl+C copies the current selection; with nothing selected it still sends the interrupt signal. On by default on Windows. |
| Confirm multi-line paste | Ask before pasting text that would run more than one command. On by default. |
| Use Option as Meta | macOS only. Lets Option+key send a Meta sequence, for Emacs- and readline-style shortcuts. |
| Scrollback | How many lines of history the terminal keeps—from 1,000 to 100,000. |
| Terminal bell | Off, Flash the server icon (the server icon in the terminal header flashes), or Play a sound. |
A live preview shows how your choices will look. On this page, changes take effect when you select Save; Restore to default resets every field above. In the terminal’s own settings panel (the gear icon), changes apply as you make them and are saved in the background—the panel footer shows Saving… and then Saved. Restore to default there can be undone from the confirmation message for a few seconds.
