View and edit groups

View and manage all workspace groups.
The Alpacon users (alpacon) group is a default system group and cannot be modified or deleted.

Group list

View all groups in IAM > Groups

Displayed information:

  • Group name
  • Member count
  • Assigned server count
  • Description

Group details

Click group name to open detail page

Detail information:

  • Group member list
  • Assigned server list
  • Group permissions
  • Activity tab
  • Roles tab

Activity tab

View group activity history to monitor actions performed by group members:

  • Time
  • User who performed the action
  • IP address
  • Action (server access, permission changes, etc.)
  • Result (HTTP status code)
  • Details

Access permissions:

  • Group members can view their group’s activity
  • Staff and Superuser can view all group activities

Roles tab

Roles assigned to this group. When a role is assigned to a group, all members of that group inherit the role’s permissions.

Each entry shows the role name, scope information (resource type and object ID if scoped), and whether the assignment is limited to a specific resource.

Assign a role:

  1. Click Assign role
  2. Select a Role from the dropdown
  3. Optionally, configure the scope to limit the role to a specific resource
  4. Save

Remove a role assignment:

Select the assignment and click Remove assignment to remove it.

Edit group

  1. Click Update on group detail page
  2. Modify name, description
  3. Click Save

Delete group

  1. Click Delete on group detail page
  2. Confirm
  3. Group permanently deleted

Note: Members remain but server access may change.
