alpacon agent upgrade

This command upgrades the Alpamon agent on a specified server to the latest version. By default it asks for confirmation before proceeding. If the server has active user work (an open Websh or WebFTP session, or an in-flight command), the upgrade is refused unless you pass --force.

bash
alpacon agent upgrade SERVER [flags]

This works on Linux, macOS, and Windows servers. If the upgrade doesn’t take effect on Windows, re-run the installer with the latest release. See Windows servers.

Options

bash
  -y, --yes Skip confirmation prompt
--force Override the busy guard even when the server has active user work
  -h, --help help for upgrade

Examples

Upgrade a server’s agent by name:

bash
alpacon agent upgrade my-server

Skip the confirmation prompt—required for a non-interactive run, such as a script or CI job:

bash
alpacon agent upgrade my-server -y

Upgrade even when the server has active user work:

bash
alpacon agent upgrade my-server --force

Exit codes

Exit code 5 means the server has active user work; pass --force to override it, or wait until the work finishes.
