Create a workspace

A workspace is an independent space for managing servers and team members. You can create multiple workspaces for different projects, teams, or environments.

Start creating

How you start creating a workspace depends on your current state:

If you already have a workspace:

  1. Click the workspace name in the top left
  2. Select + Create workspace from the dropdown

If this is your first workspace:

  1. Click the Start with a new workspace button in the center

Enter workspace information

On the creation page, provide the following information:

  1. Name: Enter a name to identify your workspace

    • Examples: Production, Dev Team, Client-ABC
  2. URL: Enter a unique URL for accessing your workspace

    • Format: https://alpacon.io/your-url/
    • Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-)
  3. Country: Select your country

    • Your country is auto-detected from your location
    • The region is automatically set based on your country selection
  4. Region: Verify or change the data region for your workspace

    • Auto-selected based on your country, but can be changed manually
    • Available regions:

    United Statesus1Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa
    Asia Pacificap1Asia Pacific, Oceania

    Region determines where your workspace data is hosted and cannot be changed after creation.

  5. Click Create

Workspace creation takes about 30 seconds, and you’ll be automatically redirected when complete.

Permissions and limitations

Automatic permissions:

  • The workspace creator automatically receives Superuser privileges
  • Full management access to all settings and resources

Plan-based limits:

  • Free plan: Users can create or join only 1 workspace
  • Paid plans: Create unlimited workspaces
